Because we can program freely in the virtual organ, some adjustments have been made that are not present on the real organ.
Then the organ is no longer completely authentic. That's right.
Because the VKO was made with Jaap in my heart, I know very well that Jaap was a big supporter of these kinds of ideas.
He would certainly motivate it. That's how Jaap has always been.
Therefore, below are the adjustments and differences with the real organ.
1. A Carillion has been sampled.
It used to be originally in the organ, but was already removed decades ago by Jaap at the request of various organists.
Found this sample on old recordings and managed to reconstruct it again. So the added Carrillon is sampled from the real organ.
But indirectly.
2.
On the right panel of the real organ, most of the buttons were still unused (blank).
That's why some extra functions have been made on these buttons to make organ playing easier.
- Added the Carillion
- A Coupler 2-1 register.
- This allows you to combine the registers of the upper keyboard with the middle keyboard.
This is for those who have a two manual organ - At the bottom 7 General Presets.
Below each keyboard are the organ's original preset buttons per keyboard.
The General Preset allows you to program complete registrations for all keyboards and pedals simultaneously.
3. The large number of horizontal register buttons are slightly less than the real organ.
It became too obscure. Texts no longer fit on the button and some stops really didn't work anymore.
4. Swell pedals
The volume pedals, or swell pedals, can be operated independently of each other.
In the real organ, these are mechanically mounted together.
In the small workshop space where the organ stood for years, you could no longer arrange things independently.
This has therefore been put back in the VKO.
